Production Studio
Feedback Audio finds it’s roots as a production house and studio. When I first launched the company it was with the exclusive vision and purpose of creating a professional recording studio in the Barrie area. Since then the company has grown and things have evolved, but the original vision and heartbeat of Feedback Audio still shines through in it’s fantastic production studio facilities. Built purposefully to have some of the best hardware, outboard gear, and microphones in the area, Feedback Audio is designed to capture the vision behind the media and the intent behind the design. I believe everyone has something they’re trying to say, a mission they need to see through and a vision they can’t let pass by. Technology should enhance, not detract from these visions. I’ll make sure through great technology, knowledge and experience that your vision is not only met but exceeded.
Recording Studio
From the ground up it’s been my passion to make sure the studio is outfitted with the highest quality of conversion hardware, microphones, custom preamps, outboard equipment and software. The move away from traditional recording consoles and large recording studios has left the music industry reeling. Many artists have found a deeper, more personal and cost effective solution to be in smaller studios equipped with a variety of high end outboard gear, workstations and recording environments. The Feedback Audio Production Studio fits into this market. One of my favourite things about Feedback Audio is being able to work one-on-one with artists, take the time off the clock to make sure their vision is met. Whether your project is folk-acoustic, rock, a remix, hip hop, or something else entirely, the production studio has the resources to make you sound (and feel) great. Fully equipped for both recording and mixing, I’ll see your project through from concept to realization.

Video and Post Production Studio
In addition to providing an equipped recording studio, Feedback Audio has also developed into a video and post production studio. Having worked on a numerous independent films and projects in the studio, I decided it was time to make this facet of media an official and part of the identity of Feedback Audio. Whatever the vision you have for your project, I’d love to get your concept off of the drawing board and onto the screen. Offering an assortment of gear and offering almost anything through rental, I can make sure your project comes off the presses with excellence.

Freelance Services
In addition to managing the Feedback Audio Production House I also partner with numerous other studios as a freelance engineer. 1202 Studios is a facility in downtown Barrie where I spend much time engineering projects and post production video. Their acoustically superior environment is one of the best in Canada, and certainly among the top facilities in Central Ontario. As a freelancer there I find a perfect marriage between high level gear and a premier facility.
Also, I partner with Sunflower Studios, a smaller and intimate facility just outside of Barrie in the quite countryside hamlet of Brentwood, Ontario. If you have your own facility and you need to bring in an engineer for the final mix, give me a shout. I don’t exclusively work out of my own facility or any of my other partners. I can meet you where you are.

Media in Ministry
The world of media is constantly changing and moving forward. In a time when the world sometimes seems as if it can barely keep up with itself, I’ve been fascinated by how can we learn to utilize the ever-changing world of media to support and grow an effective ministry. Also, what can we learn from what doesn’t work? How can we best leverage the tools provided to us through the constantly evolving world of audio, video, and the internet?
Modern churches have used video and music as a part of their services for some time now, but expectations have grown. Mixing consoles, cameras, video switchers and projectors have all become common place in the modern progressive church, but what about the less explored facets of media? Is it possible that churches can use them as well to further their mission? Twitter, Facebook and other social media strategies, beyond that, live media streaming across the internet, congregation interaction live during events over the internet, both in the room and across the world. How can we cohesively utilize these things as they grow, evolve and change? How can we stay on top of not only the newest technologies, but also figure out how to use them in an effective way? How can we stay relevant and true to the cause, not simply being on the cutting edge for the sake of being on the cutting edge? How can we best engage people in a new and relevant way using this technology? Lastly, what strategies can we devise, while constantly reminding ourselves that technology itself is not a strategy.
Join me in the discussion. Lets figure out the best way to use the things that modern technology has placed at our fingertips.

Production Training
One of the most gratifying facets of Feedback Audio is the ability to equip people. I really love to see people grow in their craft. Having seen many in production clawing to make their way up the steep learning curve on their own, it’s great to have the opportunity to offer many a leg up. Pulling on post-secondary audio engineering education as well as years of experience in the field of A/V production, I am always ready to use the skills, tips and tricks I’ve picked up along the way to help equip others and train emerging leaders. Through Feedback Audio I’m pleased to offer training in many forms, from conceptual online discussion to on-site troubleshooting. If your team is facing a production issue, don’t hesitate to be in touch. Also, feel free to browse the site for numerous posts relevant to the ins and outs of technical production. You’ll find tons of resources!
I’m very passionate about seeing production teams meet that standard they have envisioned, and about equipping their team members with the necessary skills to meet them.
